Dizzy Heights - 24 May 2014
A world record diving attempt, a zip wire across the promenade, a visit from a British diving Olympians and some mind-boggling pavement art are just a taste of what’s on offer at a free festival on Fleetwood’s waterfront.
Dizzy Heights is a celebration of the town aiming higher, serving as the official launch of the £1.5m Five Fopr Fleetwood scheme.
People are invited to pack the Esplanade on Saturday 24 May from noon to 5pm and while they enjoy five hours of festivities, they can learn more about Wyre Council’s plans to transform the area with a skate park, splash zone, boats on Marine Lake, a refurbished Euston Gardens and more besides.
Updated: We braved the elements and were pleased to see such a good turnout. There were many attractions on offer, including a tightrope show, 3D Pavement Art, Climbing wall, Zip wire, the High Diving team La Quebrada, from Britain's Got Talent and ITVs Splash. We even saw a troll!
